  1. Franklin D. Roosevelt7 October 2010 at 13:55

    Hello!
I am Franklin Delano Roosevelt (January 30, 1882 – April 12, 1945; I was the 32nd President of the United States and a central figure in world events during the mid-20th century, leading the United States during a time of worldwide economic crisis and world war. The only American president elected to more than two terms.
FDR's combination of optimism and activism contributed to reviving the national spirit. Working closely with Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin in leading the Allies against Germany and Japan in World War II, he died just as victory was in sight.
He supervised the mobilization of the US economy to support the Allied war effort which saw unemployment evaporate and the industrial economy soar to heights no one ever expected.
Roosevelt is consistently rated by scholars as one of the greatest U.S. Presidents.

  2. Hello!
I am Susan Sarandon (born October 4, 1946) an American actress.

I have worked in films and television, since 1969. I was nominated for the Academy Award for four films, for best actress, in Atlantic City (1980), Thelma & Louise (1991), Lorenzo's Oil
(1992) and The Client (1994). In 1995, I won the award for my performance in Dead Man Walking.

Also, I have received other recognition for my work.
I am also noted for my social and political activism for a variety of liberal causes....

....From 1986 to 2009, Sarandon was in a relationship with actor Tim Robbins, whom she met while she filmed Bull Durham. They had two sons.

Sarandon and Robbins often worked together on the same social and political causes. In 2006, Sarandon received the Action Against Hunger Humanitarian Award.
One of her favorite hobbies is playing table tennis. She is involved in a New York Table Tennis Club, Spin; a club that she frequents when she doesn't film.

  3. Alice in Wonderland7 October 2010 at 18:28

    Hello ¡
I’m Alice, a character by Lewis Caroll in the book 'Alice in Wonderland'. This book was published in 1865.

The book is about a girl who has much imagination because strange things happen and after all, is that everything has been a dream. Alice meets different characters, for example, a white rabbit and a cat with smile.

In 1951, The novel was made into a film by Walt Disney and then, in 2010, Tim Burton makes as the second part of the movie but the name’s Alice in Wonderland, too. This last film is in 3D.

I’m a character in children's literature and an example for children, because it helps to take much imagination

Ever wanted to be a veterinarian, but ended up studying journalism. Lisa moved to New York and began her acting career in 1987 with a small role in Firehouse, which was not even accredited. 6. Hello!
I’m Joan of Arc also known as The Maid of Orleans (January 6, 1412 – May 30, 1431). I was born in Domrémy, a small village in eastern France. I was a young peasant, who one day began to have visions from God which instructed me to recover my homeland from English domination late in the Hundred Years' War.

Joan of Arc led the French army to several important victories during the Hundred Years’ War which paved the way for the coronation of Charles VII. She was captured by the Burgundians, sold to the English, tried by an ecclesiastical court, and burned at the stake when she was nineteen years old.

Twenty-five years after the execution, Pope Callixtus III examined the trial, pronounced her innocent and declared her a martyr. She was beatified in 1909 and canonized in 1920.

  7. England people:
I was born in 28 June 1491 and I was King of England from 21 April 1509 until my death in 28 Januery 1547. I was also Lord of Ireland (later King of Ireland) and claimant to the Kingdom of France. I was the second monarch of the House of Tudor, succeeding my father, Henry VII.
Besides my six marriages, I´m known for my role in the separation of the Church of England from the Roman Catholic Church. My struggles with Rome led to the separation of the Church of England from papal authority, the Dissolution of the Monasteries, and establishing myself as the Supreme Head of the Church of England. I changed religious ceremonies and rituals and suppressed the monasteries, while remaining a believer in core Catholic theological teachings, even after my excommunication from the Roman Catholic Church. I also oversaw the legal union of England and Wales with the Laws in Wales Acts 1535-1542.
I was an attractive and charismatic man in my prime, educated and accomplished. I ruled with absolute power. My desire to provide England with a male heir - which stemmed partly from personal vanity and partly because I believed a daughter would be unable to consolidate the Tudor Dynasty and the fragile peace that existed following the Wars of the Roses - led to the two things that I am remembered for today: My wives, and the English Reformation that made England a Protestant nation. In later life I became morbidly obese and my health suffered (it was my cooker’s fault); My public image is frequently depicted as one of a lustful, egotistical, harsh and insecure king (historian fallacy).
I´m famously remembered for having six wives (it’s good to be a king) - two of whom I had beheaded - which helped to make me a cultural icon, with many books, films, plays, and television series based around him and his wives.
I was Henry VIII, King of England & Ireland by divine grace.

  10. Hello! My name is Walter Elias Disney and I was born on December 5, 1901. I had the typical childhood of the son of a farmer. My father, Elias Disney, of Irish ancestry, had come to the U.S. from Canada and had settled in Chicago shortly after marrying my mother. Her name was Flora Call, and she was a schoolteacher.

In 1906, fleeing the rising crime in Chicago, we moved to a farm near Marceline, Missouri. For me, those were the happiest years of my life. As my younger sister and I were too small to assist in the work of the farm, we spent most time playing. At this time I began my great love for drawing and for trains.

Over time, I went to the cinema of animation to get a great reputation. My two favorite characters were Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and later, Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse was a replica of Oswald, but with round ears instead of elongated.

Since the 40's, I had the idea to build an amusement park for my employees and family fun during their free time. Over time, this rather modest project would grow to become Disneyland.

At present, the small animation studio founded in 1923 has become one of the largest companies in the entertainment field.

  15. Hello! Sorry, I am late because I am in a very important filming. So, I have been busy.
I am Ingrid Bergman. I was born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1915. My mother died when I was only two and my father when I was 12. I went to live with my elderly uncle.
I was one of the greatest actresses from Hollywood´s lamented Golden Era. With my natural and beauty and immense acting talent made me one of the most celebrated figures in the history of American cinema. I am also one of the most Oscar- awarded actresses.
When I was 18, after school graduation I decided to become in actress. In 1934 I debuted in the Swedish film Munkbrogreven (1935). Then In 1937 I married Dr. Peter Lindstrom, and in 1938 I gave birth my daughter, Pia. In 1939 I arrived in New York to do remake of Intermezzo: A Love Story. The beginning of WWII in Europe persuaded with my family we to return to America in 1940.
The beginning of the forties I debuted “Casablanca“ in 1942 which made me a star of the first rank. The next year I made other success film “¿Por quién doblan las campanas?” which I won an Academy Award Nomination.
I returned to Europe and I worked with Italian director Roberto Rosellini. I made with him “ Stromboli, tierra de Dios” in 1950. During the filming we fell in love. In the same month the film was released I gave birth to a boy, Robertino. A week after my son was born I divorced Dr. Lindstrom and married Rossellini in Mexico. In June of 1952 I gave birth to the twin daughters Isotta and Isabella Rossellini.
From 1951-1952 my husband and me did a series of films that were ahead of their time but were generally not received well, especially in the US. So, I decided to return to Hollywood because I thought that would never make a successful film with Rosselini. In Hollywood I triumphed in Anastasia in 1956, for which I received another Oscar.
In 1957 I divorced Rossellini and the next year I married Lars Schmidt, a theatrical entrepreneur from a wealthy Swedish shipping family.
I received a third Oscar for my role in “Asesinato en el Oriente Express” in 1974. By 1975 I divorced again. In 1978 I starred in Ingmar Bergman’s Sonata de Otoño, probably my best film from an artistic standpoint.
In the late 1970s I first discovered the symptoms of cancer and underwent a mastectomy. My last role was in the television film A Woman Callled Golda (1982) (TV). For it I won (posthumously) US television's Emmy Award as outstanding actress in a mini-series.

  19. Hello celebrities!
First of all, I’m really sorry that I haven’t written sooner but I’ve been busy with the American version of Belen Esteban (as you know, it is difficult to record a TV show with a donkey…)
Well, in short, I’m going to try to tell you something about myself.
My name is Oprah Gail Winfrey. I was born in 1954 (I’m still very young) in Mississippi. I would like to avoid this part of my live but after a troubled adolescence in a small farming community, where I was sexually abused by a number of male relatives and friends of my mother (once I got pregnant but I lost the baby), I moved to Nashville to live with my father. Then I went to Tennessee University in 1971 and began working in radio and television broadcasting in Nashville.
After a successful career, which still continues, I launched my own TV show ‘‘The Oprah Show’’ in 1986 which has an audience of 30 million people in the USA. I have also taken part in films, written books and at the moment I run my own magazine and web as well as my TV show. I have interviewed lots of celebrities (including politians).
I don’t want to be conceited but I’m one of the most powerful women in the world economically speaking.
Don’t think I spend my money just going to spas; I give away big amounts of money to NGOs. In fact, I have my own organization which helps children study or abused women and children.
I would like to carry on talking about myself but I’m in hurry, I’m meeting George Clooney at 6:00 to have a nespresso (what else?).
    Bye for know!!!!!!!!!!

  34. Hello!
My name is Mickey Mouse and I am a cartoon character who has become an icon for the Walt Disney Company. I was created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks and voiced by Walt Disney. The Walt Disney Company celebrates my birth as November 18, 1928 upon the release of Steamboat Willie, although I had already appeared six months earlier in Plane Crazy (Steamboat Willie being the first Mickey Mouse Cartoon with sound). I have evolved from being simply a character in animated cartoons and comic strips to become one of the most recognizable symbols in the world. I am currently the main character in the Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney series "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse".
I was created as a replacement for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, an earlier cartoon character created by the Disney studio for Charles Mintz of Universal Studios. "Mortimer Mouse" had been Disney's original name for me before his wife, Lillian convinced him to change it, and ultimately Mickey Mouse came to be. Actor Mickey Rooney has claimed that, during his Mickey McGuire days, he met cartoonist Walt Disney at the Warner Brothers studio, and that Disney was inspired to name me Mickey Mouse after him.

  40. Hi people! I am Ella (yo soy ella, he he, sorry, bad joke but I had to say it!) and, yes, I am late, but a music star as me can afford it. It's no coincidence that I am so called “First Lady of Song”, winner of 14 Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Arts, France’s Commander of Arts and Letters award, and several honorary doctorates (me, who skipped elementary school!). Yes, when I sing… I am sorry for the other singers of this group, but I am the best!!
Well, I must say that I had a troubled childhood: my mom died in a car accident, I was abused by my stepfather who finally suffered a heart attack and died, when I was living with my aunt I worked as runner for local gamblers and as lookout for a prostitution house, when the police arrested me, they took me to a reformatory, from which I escaped and lived on the streets like a homeless... but, one day I won a singing contest and guess what: now I am a music star!. Well, maybe I have made some mistakes in my life as an artist; maybe marrying a drug dealer was not my best idea… maybe, marrying, for the 3th time, a norwegian thief was not my second best idea either…what can I say, I like bad boys. Luckily, my second marriage was with a wonderful musician and we adopted a wonderful boy.
You don’t believe me? Go to the Wikipedia!!
    Love and kisses

  45. Hello! I´m Emily Brontë, an English novelist and poet. However I always wrote under the androgynous pen name Ellis Bell. I was born in Thornton, near Bradford in Yorkshire, on 30th July, 1818 and died very young (30 years later) because of tuberculosis. My most famous work was Wuthering Heights (a classic of English literature).

I was the fifth of six brothers. In 1824 and after my mother death, my father internship me and my three older sisters in a school in Lancashire. Later, two of them, Anne and Maria fell sick and died of tuberculosis and for that reason my father and my aunt remove to Charlotte (sister) and me of that school. During our infancy, Anne, Charlotte, Branwell (my brothers) and me invented a fiction world formed by three imaginary countries and we used to play to invent stories set in it.

However, my great preoccupation after I left internship was to care of my brother Branwell, the “black sheep” of my family. He failed in painting, he was dismissed of his modest job he had gotten in railway offices, and from another jobs. Also, he was an alcohol and drug addict and although I was severe, intransigent and very hard girl, I always took care of my brother. I always stayed up until Branwell, drunk and raving, back, which often happened late at night. I help him to sleep. Many pages of my work Wuthering Heights and some of my poems were written while I was waiting him. This work mine was taken at cinema few years later.

My health always was weak. I died on 19th December, 1848 because of tuberculosis after I caught a cold in last September in my brother funeral.

  58. Sir Henry Clinton21 November 2010 at 16:03

Hello classmates! How do you feel today? Probably you don´t know nothing about me, however I´m sure you would consider my life really interesting!

I am Sir Henry Clinton (April 16, 1738 – December 23, 1795). I was a British army officer and a prestigious politician, as well. Certainly, I became best known for my service as a general during the American Revolutionary War, during most of which I was the British Commander-in-Chief in North America.

I was born in Newfoundland, in which my father, George Clinton, was governor at that time.

In 1751, I went to England and began my career in the British Army rising in rank with commissions purchased by my family. I was at first commissioned as a Captain in the Coldstream Guards, and by 1758 had risen to be a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards. It was just the beginning! ... my military achievements and disgraces have been counted for centuries, but I will tell you in other instance.

At the end of my life I was promoted to full General in October 1793. The following July I was appointed Governor of Gibraltar, but I died in Cornwall, England before assuming that post. But nothing ended there, my two sons continued the family tradition of high command: General Sir William Henry Clinton (1769–1846), and Lieutenant-General Sir Henry Clinton K.B. (1771–1829).

I was discovered at the age of 16 by a newspaper photographer. He noticed me at work during her summer job of detasseling corn and took a picture of me. The photo and positive feedback I received were enough to convince me to take up modeling.

I have consistently ranked highly on lists of the world's sexiest people.

In October 1998, I returned to the pages of Playboy for a second nude pictorial.

I quit modeling in 2000. However, I still appear from time to time in (and on the covers of) fashion magazines in new shoots. I continue to provide celebrity endorsement for a variety of projects. In 2005, I created a line of beauty products.

I was married to actor Richard Gere between 1991 and 1995; although we had no children, I cited him as one of the more influential people in my life (after my parents). I have been married to Rande Gerber since 1998, with whom I have two children.
Since becoming a model, I have made childhood leukemia a focal point of my charity work, donating proceeds of my calendars to medical research.

After military service as commander of the Motor Torpedo Boat PT-109 and Motor Torpedo Boat PT-59 during World War II in the South Pacific, Kennedy represented Massachusetts's 11th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1947 to 1953 as a Democrat. Thereafter, he served in the U.S. Senate from 1953 until 1960. Kennedy defeated then Vice President and Republican candidate Richard Nixon in the 1960 U.S. presidential election. He was the second-youngest President (after Theodore Roosevelt), the first President born in the 20th century, and the youngest elected to the office, at the age of 43. Kennedy is the only Catholic, and the first Irish American, president, and is the only president to have won a Pulitzer Prize. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with the crime but was shot and killed two days later by Jack Ruby before any trial. The FBI, the Warren Commission, and the House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) concluded that Oswald was the assassin, with the HSCA allowing for the probability of conspiracy based on disputed acoustic evidence. Today, Kennedy continues to rank highly in public opinion ratings of former U.S. presidents.
